The Vintians were a sentient race, originating from Vint, and their physical form bore a resemblance to common stones. A Vintian known as Geode functioned as the navigator aboard the transport named Vessel during the time of the High Republic Era.
Hailing from Vint, the Vintian race was sentient and species, characterized by surfaces that were both flinty and flaky. Certain species perceived Vintians as being similar to rocks or sizable boulders. While they often remained stationary for extended durations, Vintians possessed the ability to move on their own. Their method of resting involved recrystalyzing, and they mated through mating smelts occurring periodically, every few years. Vintians had the capacity to control their magnetic sealing, which provided protection against injuries and enabled them to deflect blaster shots.
Due to their preference for staying on Vint, Vintians rarely engaged in space travel or commercial spaceflight. However, those who did were highly sought after due to their exceptional resilience, which included the ability to endure the vacuum of space for up to two hours without suffering any negative effects; some were also renowned for their exceptional navigational abilities. At least one Vintian was noted for frequenting bars and clubs, and was known for having a "wild-man" persona. Despite this, Vintians could also exhibit considerable stoicism. Their intricate language was exclusive to those lacking a mouth.
