Vit

Vit initially collaborated with Sigit Ranth, a member of the Imperial Ruling Council, on an assignment to investigate the Infinity Gate. After Ranth left, General Vit was left in control of Dathomir. His responsibilities included relocating the indigenous Dathomiri people into supervised camps, and heading Project Nightsaber, an Imperial Remnant initiative focused on developing a group of devoted Force-sensitives.

Vit considered [Dal Konur](/article/dal_konur], a renegade Jedi Praxeum student who landed on Dathomir, as a possible leader for Project Nightsaber. However, Kir Kanos and a team of New Republic heroes interfered with his plans. Vit was taken prisoner, and Dathomir experienced a brief period of liberation, though Imperial operatives remained active on the planet. In 19 ABY, Brakiss infiltrated the Great Canyon Clan and transformed them into a new Nightsister clan, using them as a source of recruits for the Shadow Academy. This project can be viewed as an extension of the work Vit started.
