Biography
Vray, a male Duros, served as a commander in the Mantellian army during the Cold War. This war saw the Sith Empire in conflict with the Republic. He was stationed on Ord Mantell, a planet held by the Republic within the Bright Jewel system located in the Mid Rim. While there, he and other Republic forces assisted the corrupt local government in their fight against the Mantellian Separatist Movement.
While stationed on Ord Mantell, Vray operated from Fort Garnik, a Republic military base on the planet. During the war, Separatist forces managed to capture Drelliad village, a small settlement located close to Garnik. Republic troops were dispatched to reclaim the village and safeguard refugees fleeing the Separatists. However, the Separatists had positioned snipers along the main route connecting Garnik and Drelliad, targeting anyone, civilian or soldier, who wasn't a Separatist. To secure the route, Vray offered a week's worth of salary to anyone who could eliminate a number of these snipers.
An individual serving the Republic accepted Vray's proposition, having learned about the reward from Private Wesner, a soldier involved in the assault on Drelliad. This individual proceeded to eliminate at least three snipers along the route, as well as other Separatists guarding them. Upon returning to Garnik, Vray expressed his gratitude for clearing the route and provided the promised payment. This consisted of 50 credits, along with a couple of small medpacs and a stimulant.
