Vultar Nebula

The Vultar Nebula existed within the Arrowhead region, which itself was situated inside the Slice area of the Core Worlds. Back in 4250 BBY, a collection of Dark Jedi triggered a group of devices. These machines were believed to have been employed by the mysterious and vanished Celestials in order to construct the Vultar system. However, the activation of these very devices ultimately destroyed the entire system, resulting in the formation of the Vultar Nebula. During 1 BBY, Doctor Insmot Bowen, a researcher from the Obroan Institute for Archaeology, was a participant in a Galactic Empire briefing concerning the Celestials. He informed the Imperial authorities present that unfortunately, travel to the nebula was prohibited.

Behind the scenes

Originally, there were plans to include the Vultar Nebula in the 2012 reference book titled The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Jason Fry along with Paul R. Urquhart. Nevertheless, the section intended to discuss the nebula was removed prior to the book's publication. Later, in 2013, information about the Vultar Nebula was revealed as a component of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut. This was a series of articles featured on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and Del Rey editor Erich Schoeneweiss, and it included various pieces of content that had been cut from The Essential Guide to Warfare. The 2009 reference book known as The Essential Atlas situated the Vultar system, and consequently the Vultar Nebula, within grid square L-10.
