The Wayward Comet functioned as a space station for refueling spacecraft. In the course of the war against the First Order, Resistance operatives Finn and Poe Dameron, accompanied by Norik and Oron, made a stop at the station to allow Dameron to rendezvous with a contact. While they were there, Finn became embroiled in a scuffle with a Dashade, attracting the attention of Remex Io, a Clawdite belonging to the infamous Kendoh Gang.
