Norik served the Resistance during their struggle against the forces of the First Order. At some point between the years of 34 and 35 ABY, Resistance operatives Finn and Poe Dameron embarked on a quest to procure essential resources; Norik, in conjunction with Oron, joined them on their journey to the Wayward Comet fueling station. While Dameron engaged with a contact, Norik and Oron remained at the station's supply storage area. After Dameron received information from his source regarding a hidden cache of arms located at Base 354-23X, a disused New Republic facility on the Avedot moon, Dameron reunited with Finn, who then proceeded to collect Norik and Oron before their departure to the lunar body. The Kendoh Gang, a group of criminals under the command of Kendoh Voss, pursued them, seeking to claim a reward for the capture of Finn.
Norik's name initially appeared in Allegiance 1, a serialized comic created by Ethan Sacks and released by Marvel Comics on October 9th, 2019. The subsequent publication, also penned by Sacks, with illustrations by Luke Ross, and released on October 16th, 2019, portrays three Resistance members accompanying Finn and Dameron on their mission to Avedot's moon, with only one receiving explicit identification. Nevertheless, the comic does not definitively establish that the two unnamed operatives are, in fact, Norik and Oron. Both of the unidentified Resistance members meet their demise at the hands of the Kendoh Gang.
