Koros-Strohna
Known in Galactic Basic Standard as worldships, the Koros-Strohna were gigantic, space-faring habitats that provided lodging and sustenance for entire communities of the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong. These worldships also acted as forward operating bases for intense battles and conflicts. Due to the Yuuzhan Vong's deeply ingrained religious and cultural aversion to "modern" technology, including items such as droids, sophisticated computer systems, electronics, and nuclear energy (among other things), their worldships were invariably constructed from organic materials. Many of these massive vessels were either constructed from or powered by living organisms, like yorik coral or other living invertebrates.
Attributes
A worldship functioned as a mobile community, a warship, a psychological weapon, and a means of transportation, all rolled into one, similar to the role of Emperor Palpatine's resurrected Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyers.
Measurements

Like all other Yuuzhan Vong vessels and technology, the Koros-Strohna was constructed from yorik coral. This coral would then develop symbiotic relationships with numerous other organic materials and lifeforms utilized in the construction of the vessel, which provided its defensive, propulsive, and offensive capabilities. Maw luur served as a recycling system and provided critical life support to the vessel. A worldship was more akin to a living planet than a typical starship, and similar to most other bioengineered Yuuzhan Vong vessels, it did not resemble a spaceship in any way. The central portion of the ship was a disc-shaped structure, covered in hundreds of projectile defense systems, as well as other protrusions. Several large, spiraling "arms" extended from around the middle edges of the worldship, giving it the rough appearance of a spiral galaxy or a hurricane. In regions of weak gravitational pull, like the voids between galaxies, the Koros-Strohna could deploy numerous membranous "tendrils" called outrider ganglia, with each membrane anchored by hundreds of coralskippers, or yorik-et, which were smaller, similarly coral-based "starfighters" used to assist in unfolding the membrane. Once deployed, the ganglia functioned as cosmic sails.
Propulsion Systems
The worldship was propelled by Dovin basals by generating gravity wells that pulled Yuuzhan Vong ships through the interstellar void. When these organisms focused their energy wells, they had the power to collapse space stations, entire planets, or even moons, and could even force a binary star system to collide. Dovin basals were also able to strip enemy vessels of their deflector shields. The worldship's defenses also utilized the dovin basals' ability to manipulate gravitational wells when intercepting incoming enemy fire or other potential attacks. To conserve energy, worldships could generate artificial gravity through rotation, thereby preserving the dovin basals.
Offensive and Defensive Capabilities

Hundreds of yaret-kor emplacements, which launched molten "slag" or magma at enemy vessels, protected worldships. These ranged in size from starfighter-sized cannons to turbo laser-sized weapons comparable to those employed by the New Republic. These magma-based weapons varied from small openings capable of firing blaster cannons to larger emitters capable of launching massive volcanic boulders, some as large as a small starship, over great distances. The Koros-Strohna's weaponry was spaced irregularly and recharged slowly as new magma was generated; despite their unusual design, these weapons were remarkably accurate.
Another weapon was the dread weapon, a massive, tubular worm that extended from the worldship's depths. The dread weapon could be used to collect nutrients for the worldship to sustain itself. The Gorros' Fen served a similar purpose.
Complement
The worldship's cargo and troop holds provided additional defenses, with the capability of transporting more than 5,000 warriors, along with coralskippers and terrestrial ground vehicles. Due to the vessel's large size, the Koros-Strohna could often accommodate a small Yuuzhan Vong army.
Life Cycle
A Yuuzhan Vong worldship could live and function for at least 500 years, and potentially for as long as 1,000 years, as demonstrated by the Baanu Miir. As a worldship approached the end of its life, its dovin basals would exhibit color changes, and myogens would develop in its corridors.
History
In 26 ABY, the worldship Baanu Miir housed twelve thousand Yuuzhan Vong and was nearly 1000 years old, an age considered ancient. It was dying and no longer able to travel faster than light. It is unknown whether these numbers were typical for worldships. The Baanu Rass, one of the largest worldships, was 120 kilometers across, almost the size of the first Death Star. During the journey through the intergalactic void, certain drugs were introduced into the worldship's interior, instilling a sense of purpose and belonging in its inhabitants to prevent mental breakdowns caused by the stresses of a long voyage across space to the Promised Land.
The Alak Schou was among the worldships used to transport the invasion force into the galaxy. The Domain Hul worldship served as a base for the Yuuzhan Vong assault against the New Republic during the attack on Borleias.
