The Wyrd elite guard were a carefully chosen group of Tarasin soldiers (all male) who were in service to the Wyrd. The Wyrd were a coven of dark side Force witches functioning on the planet of Cularin. The ranks of the Wyrd elite guard had dwindled by approximately 19 BBY. As a last-ditch attempt to secure a win for the Wyrd, the remaining elite guard members aided the coven's plan to convert Cularin's ch'hala trees to the dark side of the Force. They congregated at the ch'hala Heart Tree to protect the First Witch of the Wyrd, her second-in-command, and the Wyrd's Inner Circle while they began a ritual intended to corrupt the trees. Nevertheless, the heroes of Cularin foiled the Wyrd and their elite guard, ultimately defeating them.
