Xanaven, a Nihil pirate of the Frong species, held the position of Tempest Runner commanding his own Tempest in the High Republic Era following a request from Eye Asgar Ro. At the Great Hall of the Nihil, he met his end and was succeeded by the Twi'lek named Lourna Dee.
The audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, released in 2021 and penned by Cavan Scott with a complete voice acting ensemble, featured Xanaven in flashback sequences.
