The nine Xim Thrones represented the core worlds—or, in one instance, the self-declared core—of the Tionese empire under the rule of the conqueror Xim, both politically and in terms of ceremony. These were, specifically, Argai, Chandaar, Cadinth, Desevro, Thanium, Yutusk, Huronom, Astigone, and Sleheyron, listed in order. The idea of the Xim Thrones stemmed from the "Four Thrones of Cron," a phrase employed within the realm of Xer VIII, who was Xim's father.
