Yaltza was a major in the service of the Galactic Empire, functioning as an Imperial officer. This officer, holding the rank of major, was the individual in charge of Project Swarm, an Imperial initiative with the goal of discovering the Rebel Alliance's main base. In 3 ABY, Darth Vader, a Sith Lord, evaluated the project's status and executed Major Yaltza due to a perceived lack of advancement. Following this, General Maximilian Veers took Yaltza's place, and he communicated the major's shortcomings to the team of archaeologists working on Project Swarm aboard the flagship Executor.
