Yettice referred to a type of plant that moved by crawling; it was a species of this kind. This plant was found on the planet Gorse, specifically in the crypts of the Beggar's Hill cemetery, growing with nightferns. Approximately eleven years before the Battle of Yavin, these two plant types had eroded the majority of inscriptions on the old graves.
The first appearance of yettice was in the novel A New Dawn, which was authored by John Jackson Miller and released in 2014.
