During the events of the First Battle of Geonosis, a regiment belonging to the Grand Army of the Republic was sent to the Petranaki Arena. Their mission was to extract the remaining members of the Jedi assault team, who were trying to save Senator Padmé Amidala, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padawan Anakin Skywalker. This regiment of clone troopers, under the leadership of Grand Master Yoda, landed on the Geonosis plains in LAAT/i gunships to further engage in the conflict. This particular regiment was part of the two battle armies deployed to Geonosis.
