Yun'o

Yun'o (with the singular form being Yun), alternatively referred to as Great Ones, and also known as the True Gods, represented the term used to denote deities within the Yuuzhan Vong language. Yun was also used as a prefix to every deity's name in the Yuuzhan Vong pantheon. Their physical forms, as portrayed in artistic renderings like paintings and sculptures, varied in depiction depending on the specific domain. The belief was that these gods resided in a plane that existed parallel to the physical universe, and that they also had physical forms.

The legends say that, during the Before-Time, Yun-Yuuzhan, who was the original creator, made a promise to the lesser deities: they could rise to his level if they managed to locate beings who could take over their positions. For the Yuuzhan Vong, this was interpreted as finding a race like themselves, and it served as the rationale for their relentless drive towards escalation.
