The YZ 3000 tanker represented a specific type of transport craft. The YZ 3000 gained the nickname "Whale" in common parlance, a reference to its considerable dimensions and overall form.
These transport ships found their purpose in conveying water from Da Soocha to its moon, Napdu, during the year 137 ABY. This water was destined for utilization within the Maya Armus spa. The Galactic Alliance Remnant employed a number of these vessels to move refugees from Mon Calamari away from their planet. Shortly thereafter, Gar Stazi reactivated them for service during the Evacuation of Dac, where they played a role in rescuing Whaladons and Moappa.
