A Padawan, under the tutelage of Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell, was undergoing apprenticeship training prior to the outbreak of the Mandalorian Wars. During the Galactic Republic's armed conflict with the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders, this Jedi Padawan aligned himself with the faction led by Jedi Knight Revan and entered the fray. Following the final battle on the planet Malachor V, Ell's Padawan succumbed to the dark side of the Force, having been swayed by Sith doctrines that Revan, who had transformed into a Dark Lord of the Sith, imparted to him.

In the era encompassing the Mandalorian Wars, a Padawan existed, undergoing training within the Jedi Order to master the ways of the Force. This apprentice eventually became a student of Jedi Master Zez-Kai Ell. Amidst the Galactic Republic's struggle against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders, the apprentice cast his lot with Jedi Knight Revan's Jedi faction and became involved in the conflict. In 3960 BBY, after the final battle on the planet Malachor V, Ell's Padawan embraced the dark side of the Force. This fall was a direct consequence of Sith teachings delivered by Revan, who had risen to become the Dark Lord of the Sith at the head of a new Sith Empire.
In 3951 BBY, Zez-Kai Ell reflected on his Padawan's descent into darkness during a discussion with Meetra Surik, another veteran of the Mandalorian Wars. Ell concluded that he understood his Padawan's decision to follow Revan, asserting that his apprentice had made the correct choice amidst the many who did not.
The Padawan possessed sensitivity to the Force and managed to survive the devastating final battle of the Mandalorian Wars that took place at Malachor V.
The character of Zez-Kai Ell's Padawan was initially referenced within the 2004 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, which was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. The character's existence is only revealed through a conversation held between Zez-Kai Ell and the character controlled by the player.
