Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs previously worked for Maz Kanata, who ran a tavern within her castle on the planet Takodana, until its destruction in 34 ABY. Tuggs' reputation in the Outer Rim had led to many beings wanting what Tuggs called "a taste of Takodana" in his cookbook The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook. He began operating Tuggs' Grub out of a modified transport and wrote of it, "It's given me a chance to share not just a taste of Takodana but an entire galaxy of flavors." "A Taste of Takodana" became the slogan of Tuggs' Grub, and the dish of that name was served when he was the visiting chef at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.
