Designated Amnesty Officer M34 referred to a human participant in the New Republic Amnesty Program. This program was designed for former personnel of the Galactic Empire, granting them amnesty after re-integration efforts to encourage their loyal service to the New Republic. Before joining the program, M34 held the rank of an Imperial officer. Officer M34 engaged in conversation with fellow Amnesty Officer M40 and Amnesty Officer G27, reminiscing about aspects of the Empire they missed, including the visual spectacle of hyperspace, their uniforms, and the cuisine. However, like his colleagues, M34 expressed relief at the Empire's downfall.
Amnesty Officer 34 made an appearance in "Chapter 19: The Convert," the third installment of the third season of The Mandalorian, a series available on the Disney+ streaming service. Lee Isaac Chung served as the director for this episode.
