Peace-sealing was plating made of heavy metal that was big enough to cover missile tubes and spectrum laser openings. The plating was used by the Kilji Illumine government and could be removed in a few seconds with explosives. In 18 BBY, the Kilji war cruiser Whetstone used peace-sealing over its weapons while visiting several worlds of the Chiss Ascendancy.
When Generalirius Nakirre—the leader of the Illumine and the commander of the Whetstone—was killed by his former ally "Jixtus" aboard the cruiser while in the Sunrise system, the Pathfinder navigator of the Whetstone—who feared Jixtus would attack them next—was prompted to order one of the generalirius's servants to remove the Whetstones peace-sealing so that it could fire at Jixtus' flagship, the FateSpinner.
