A vassal of the Kilji species, serving as a weapons operator on the war cruiser Whetstone of the Kilji Illumine nation, was under the command of Generalirius Nakirre in 18 BBY. This occurred after the Whetstone journeyed to the "Sunrise" system within the Unknown Regions. Following the murder of the generalirius by his erstwhile Grysk associate, "Jixtus," Nakirre's vassals entered a catatonic state, mourning their deceased leader. Subsequently, a vassal informed Qilori, a navigator from the Pathfinder, that the warship's vassals were unable to act or even think without their commander, due to the constraints imposed by their religious beliefs.
Qilori then pledged to guide the Kiljis until he could facilitate their return home, instructing the weapons operator to deactivate the Whetstone's peace-sealing, which was covering the vessel's armaments. Once the vassal removed the sealing, he, under the Pathfinder's orders, fired the war cruiser's weaponry at Jixtus's flagship, known as the FateSpinner. This assault caused significant damage to the FateSpinner's aft starboard side, leading its Grysk commander to destroy the ship and kill himself.
This vassal character was featured in Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, a 2021 novel and the concluding installment of the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
