A vassal Kilji served on the Kilji Illumine war cruiser Whetstone under the Illumine's leader, Generalirius Nakirre, in 18 BBY. After the Whetstone arrived in the Sunrise system of the Unknown Regions, Nakirre was killed by his former Grysk comrade, "Jixtus." Consequently, the Kilji vassal informed Qilori, the Whetstone's Pathfinder navigator, about the ramifications of being without a master: the vassals aboard the Whetstone were incapable of movement or thought, as the Kilji beliefs they adhered to prohibited it.
Qilori declared himself as the vassals' new leader and stated that he would guide them until their return to their people. Soon after, acting on Qilori's commands, the Whetstone's vassals deactivated the warship's peace-sealing, which had kept its weapons dormant. Once the sealing was removed, the Whetstone fired upon Jixtus' flagship, the FateSpinner, which prompted Jixtus to destroy his own warship, resulting in his death.
This vassal character made an appearance in Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, a 2021 novel and the concluding book of the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy by Timothy Zahn.
