The regent's private office of the Pijali monarchy was located on the Inner Rim planet Pijal within the world's royal palace. During the Jedi Rael Averross's mission to Pijal to serve as its lord regent, the room became the space he used for formal work. In 40 BBY, the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, visited the regent's private office to meet Averross, the Pijali guard captain Deren, and the Opposition leader, Halin Azucca.
The regent's private office was located within the Pijali palace on the Inner Rim planet Pijal. The room featured several windows, a broad desk, and a chair. Although originally delicately appointed in the Pijali monarchy's style, by 40 BBY, the office had become musty and dilapidated with various data solids, holoprojectors, and scanners piled high near the windows.
In 48 BBY, the Jedi Rael Averross was sent to Pijal to serve as its lord regent, taking over the room as his private office. Under his care, the office slowly became more unkempt and cluttered due to Averross's lack of tidiness. Over time, the regent piled several types of devices near the room's now-dusty windows, blocking the light.
During their mission to Pijal in 40 BBY, the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, visited the regent's private office to meet with Averross and the Pijali guard captain Deren. There, the Jedi pair met the Opposition performance troupe's leader, Halin Azucca, who had turned herself in to palace authorities earlier that day in an effort to deliver information about the blackguard soldiers' attacks on various establishments throughout Pijal to Jinn. In the office, Averross berated Azucca for trying to shift blame off herself and onto the blackguards, a group he believed were imaginary. The performance artist insisted that she had brought adequate proof via a datapad, encouraging Jinn to unlock the device using his fingerprint.
Although Averross raved that the performance artist's claims were ridiculous, Jinn and Kenobi proceeded to review the evidence on her datapad, which indicated the location of a possible blackguard base on Pijal. Azucca explained that an Opposition holovid artist had traced a blackguard signal to a well-armed installation on the planet's surface. Jinn eventually convinced the regent to leave his office and begrudgingly investigate the situation.
The regent's private office appeared in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.
