Rothlan

Rothlan was a human who served in the armed forces of the Galactic Empire with the military rank of general. During the Imperial Era, Rothlan was stationed on board the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Executor when it came under attack after arriving near a planet in the Outer Rim Territories. As the pair of individuals attacking the dreadnought approached, Rothlan declared them traitors over comms and ordered the Executor's TIE/ln space superiority starfighters to attack.

Despite the Imperial fighters, the attackers managed to begin destroying the defences of the dreadnought, causing Rothlan to claim that they would soon rue the day and that the Imperials had been letting the attackers win up until that point. Once the Executor's defenses had been destroyed, the general ordered that the vessel be locked down and the escape pods be prepared, as the Imperial had no intention of going down with the ship. Before Rothlan could enter an escape pod however, the attackers landed in the hangar where the general was located.

Jumping in fear upon seeing the enemy, Rothlan then used a lift on the hangar floor that dropped down below a protective shield as stormtroopers in the hangar engaged the boarders. Once the stormtroopers in the hangar were defeated, Rothlan claimed they were the weakest squad under the general's command and then sent in the second weakest squad. Once they two were defeated, the general admitted there were few men left, sending in another squad that was bested and then finally a group led by the stormtrooper TT-2005. When the sounds of fighting ceased from the hangar, Rothlan called out to see if the stomrtroopers had triumphed, but TT-2005 and the other remaining Imperials had been defeated.

Using a datacard that TT-2005 had been carrying, the attackers then activated the lift that Rothlan was hiding on, deactivating the shield and bringing it back to the hangar. The general refused to surrender the vessel and attacked the intruders, but was defeated and left dazed, holding their left leg and rocking back and forth on the hangar's floor while ceding control of the ship to the intruders.

Rothlan was surprised by the resilience of the pair that attacked the Executor and hoped to exterminate them in the name of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine. Despite having no intention of going down with the ship, the general refused to surrender the vessel when confronted and fought alone before eventually handing over control when defeated. Rothlan had light colored skin.

Rothlan wore a gray Imperial officer's uniform including an Imperial kepi with an officer's disk and a second officer's disk on the buckle of a black belt. In addition to carrying two code cylinders, the general's rank insignia plaque had four red pips above four blue and in combat they used a blaster pistol.

General Rothlan is an optional boss in Traveller's Tales' 2022 non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Rothlan is fought if players choose to capture the Executor, which can be encountered in either the Tatoo system or Bespin system once the player has completed the section of the game based on the film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The aurebesh subtitle for General Rothlan's boss title reads "galactic might."
