Siquay was a gas giant with a space dock orbiting it. At some point no earlier than 379 BBY, the Evereni siblings Vika and Velya Faer refueled their starship at the dock over Siquay and stayed there long enough for Marda Ro—the Evereni founder of the group of pirates who would eventually become the Nihil—to catch up with them in her hunt for others of her species. After starships under her command surrounded the siblings' ship, Ro sent the two Faers an invitation to come aboard her vessel, the Gaze Electric, and they obliged. Ro later recorded a message for her descendants and mentioned Siquay and her encounter with the Faers in it. By 252 BBY, during his youth, Ro's great-great-grandson Marchion Ro had listened to her journal, including the message where Siquay was mentioned.
Siquay was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the short story "A Closed Fist Has No Claws," written by Tessa Gratton and published in the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project. The planet originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was a part of the Sriluur system and was first mentioned in the 2004 roleplaying sourcebook Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds published by Wizards of the Coast for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
