The Temple was rectangular in shape with a steeply pitched roof. Four spires rose from the Temple, one on each corner; a large wooden door was set in the long side of the building, fronted by a plaza dotted with benches and trees.
The interior of the building consisted of a large central room decorated in extravagant wall and ceiling frescoes that told the story of the Dai Bendu Order's myths and history. Tall, stained-glass windows lined the walls and gave illumination to the open space. Along the outer walls were smaller rooms used for storage and habitation. Simple cells with cots, some without windows, afforded some privacy.
Originally a place of worship of the Order of Dai Bendu, the Temple was eventually acquired by the industrialist and philanthropist Kara. As part of her philanthropy, Kara gifted use of the Temple to a sect of the Stargazer cult led by Dalien Brock. In 25,793 BBY the Stargazer Sect attempted to leave the Tython system using a hypergate and dark matter, and planned their movement from the privacy of the old Temple. When word of their plot reached the Je'daii Council, they dispatched Je'daii Ranger Lanoree Brock to put an end to their dangerous plans. Through intelligence gathering, Brock was led to the Temple and found it recently abandoned, with Kara getting advance warning to the Stargazers of the Je'daii's approach. As Lanoree Brock explored the Temple with her partner, Tre Sana, they discovered a bomb and quickly fled as the Temple was engulfed in flames and collapsed.
