Tython system

The Tython system, a star system situated within the Deep Core, derived its designation from the planet known as Tython. This world holds significance in the chronicles of the Jedi Order. Ashla, a moon, revolved around Tython in its orbit. Due to the shifting nature of the hyperlanes in that area, Tython was ultimately left uninhabited when these routes moved away.

Behind the scenes

In the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, "Tython" is primarily located in the Standard Galactic grid square L-10, with a portion extending into K-10, a depiction consistent with Star Wars Legends supplementary materials. Conversely, the Star Wars Galaxy Map positions "Tython" mainly in grid square K-10, and partly in L-10. For the time being, this article operates under the assumption that the K-10 grid placement of "Tython" on the Star Wars Galaxy Map represents a visual mistake, pending clarification from a future canon source, and based on remarks made by the map's creator, Jason Fry.
