This camp for refugees situated on Abridon met its end in the year 3 ABY.
During 3 ABY, the Abridon Nationalists staged an uprising against the Galactic Empire, resulting in Abridon briefly falling under the control of the Rebel Alliance. A significant Rebel installation was established in a countryside area to the southwest of the capital, in proximity to a refugee camp.
Nevertheless, Imperial troops appeared and suppressed the revolt in a matter of days. General Brenn Tantor, who was in command of the Imperial forces on the ground, eliminated the base situated near the camp as his final act.
His commander, Grand General Malcor Brashin, was determined to obliterate all Abridon resistance. He instructed Tantor to obliterate the nearby refugee camp as a demonstration of Imperial power and to exemplify what happens when Rebels are permitted to operate in the area. Tantor declined to carry out this order.
Enraged, Brashin blocked Tantor from accessing communication channels and commanded Tantor's stormtroopers to completely destroy the camp. He falsely told them that Tantor had been wounded by enemy fire and that they needed to avenge him by leveling the camp, which was supposedly occupied by Rebel supporters.
This event led Rebel general Tyr Taskeen to extend an offer for Tantor to switch sides, which he subsequently accepted. He defected while on Kalaan and later came back to seize Abridon for the Rebellion.
