Aldanna functioned as an admiral for the Republic during the era of the Clone Wars. Back in 22 BBY, the Republic endeavored to put in place blockades surrounding worlds maintaining neutrality, yet offering support to the military of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. As a component of this overall plan, three Venator-class Star Destroyers, all under the direction of Aldanna, were ordered to establish a blockade of the Hexus system. A squadron of Confederate starfighters, spearheaded by the ace pilot known as Tofen Vane, attacked Aldanna's forces, though the Republic secured victory in the end.

Within the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, Aldanna served as an admiral. Specifically, in 22 BBY, which marked the initial year of the conflict, the inhabitants of the planet called Valahari aligned themselves with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Consequently, the Galactic Republic responded by instituting blockades around neutral planets that were providing military resources to the Confederacy. Aldanna was assigned the responsibility of blockading the Hexus system, and she was given command of three Venator-class Star Destroyers. However, the Valahari, guided by the ace pilot Tofen Vane, soon launched attacks on the Republic blockades, overwhelming all opposition.
Upon learning that Vane's subsequent objective was Aldanna's blockade, the Jedi Order dispatched Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to assist the Admiral in withstanding the assault. Upon Vane's arrival, Skywalker engaged him in aerial combat, a dogfight, while Vane's squadron, known as Tofen's Raiders, targeted Aldanna's forces. Despite outmaneuvering Skywalker and shooting him down, Vane ultimately chose to spare his life. Although Aldanna's ships sustained considerable damage, the timely arrival of Republic reinforcements, led by Admiral Wullf Yularen, compelled the Valahari to withdraw.
Aldanna's name appeared in the eleventh issue of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic-book series, which was authored by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching and released by Dark Horse Comics on December 9, 2009.
