It traversed the cosmos before ultimately settling on Tatooine, back when the world was covered in vibrant rainforests. The sarlacc then entered a prolonged hibernation, awakening to find a desert environment. Differing from other sarlaccs that consumed flesh, this particular one favored plant life and actively avoided consuming sentient creatures. Despite its efforts to convey this preference to those who visited, using the Sarlacc language, they failed to comprehend and routinely shoved each other into the Almighty Sarlacc's maw. Incapable of expelling them, it would store them away within its ninth stomach.
The almighty Sarlacc engaged in conversation with the protocol droid C-3PO regarding its predicament of constant involuntary feeding, overjoyed to encounter someone capable of understanding its tongue. It recounted its history and experiences to C-3PO, and requested an end to the forced consumption of living beings. Upon learning that C-3PO served Luke Skywalker, it tried to persuade him that serving others was not his ultimate calling. C-3PO clarified that he was designed for service, and that he was required to participate in a great struggle. After C-3PO departed, the sarlacc was left solely with Boba Fett for company, but felt relieved when he managed to break free.
At a later time after Fett's liberation, he and Fennec Shand came back in search of Fett's armor. To break free from the grasp of the almighty sarlacc's tentacles, Shand obliterated it using a seismic charge.
