Ambar

Ambar, a Mournish healer, was part of a Pathfinder unit stationed on the Witherbloom during the High Republic.

Life Story

During an assault on the Witherbloom by an unknown vessel, Ambar was present. After the subsequent crash, she provided care to the wounded Xinith Tarl. Before the ship's destruction in an explosion, the medic evacuated and assessed Tarl's injuries. When Rok Buran inquired about her needs for the Jedi Master's treatment, she explained that the destruction of the Witherbloom had eliminated their supplies.

Ambar joined the rest of the team as they ventured to the crash site of the mysterious vessel to find resources. As the team dispersed to investigate the wreckage, Ambar supported Tarl, enabling Sula Badani to focus on defending the group. Inside the ship, Ambar cautioned Badani that moving Tarl further could be fatal. They laid her down in a storage area, where Ambar continued to monitor her condition.

The healer continued to care for Tarl as the Jedi was impacted by a being located on the ship's exterior. Upon Badani's return, Ambar examined her for injuries, but the Jedi clarified that the being's presence was affecting those sensitive to the Force. When it reappeared, Ambar offered her assistance to the Jedi. When Badani suggested that the group move away from the creature, Ambar was against moving Tarl but was eventually persuaded. She came to the realization that she was immune to the creature's influence, so she would have to plan their defense. As she got ready, Pako informed the medic that the creature would breach the hull to reach them. Ambar devised a strategy to redirect remaining engine power through the hull's metal plates, with the intention of repelling it. She assisted in relocating Tarl to another section of the ship, discovering a first-aid kit along the way, which she used to treat the injured Jedi.

Ambar administered treatment to Tarl, who regained consciousness. Upon Pako's return from the engine room, Ambar embraced him and expressed her happiness for the success of the plan in driving off the creature. Buran and Coron Solstus came back from exploring the other part of the wreckage and brought a group of Path of the Open Hand followers, one of whom had been injured. Ambar treated the disciple's blaster wound. She remained in the cargo bay with the wounded while the rest of the group went to try to ambush the creature attacking the ship. Tarl noticed the creature had boarded the ship, and assumed a defensive stance. Ambar cautioned her about moving due to her severe injuries, but the Jedi explained to the medic that she had no other option.

Tarl realized that there were more creatures present on the ship, and told Ambar that they needed to find a safer location. Ambar helped Geth as he walked out of the cargo bay. Their group joined the other survivors in a passageway. Badani told them that Pako had died when he attacked the creature that was assaulting the Jedi and Ambar was filled with sorrow. As the group of creatures began to close in on the survivors, Ambar escaped the ship before the engines went into overload and destroyed the wreckage.
