Coron Solstus, a male human, held the rank of Jedi within the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.
Circa 382 BBY, Solstus was a Padawan serving within a Pathfinder team, collaborating with fellow Jedi, including his mentor Sula Badani. He was piloting the Witherbloom as co-pilot when a starship materialized from hyperspace directly ahead. The Padawan executed an evasive maneuver, averting a collision. When the unidentified ship launched an attack on the Pathfinder vessel, Xinith Tarl instructed Solstus to target its weapons systems in an attempt to disable it. The unidentified vessel responded by ramming the Witherbloom, resulting in both ships crashing onto a nearby planet. After the ship came to a complete stop on the planet's surface, Solstus exited the cockpit to check on the other passengers. Badani instructed Solstus to use the Force to assist her in opening the hatch, which was jammed shut due to the crash. Initially, he struggled to clear his mind and focus, but eventually managed to help Badani force the door open. Solstus evacuated the wreckage along with the rest of the crew, surveying the surrounding area with his master. He suggested that the group search for the other ship, as they might require supplies and have injured individuals in need of assistance.

Upon approaching the wreckage, Rok Buran proposed dividing into two teams to search the downed vessel. Badani assigned Solstus to accompany Buran to the ship's bridge. They entered the ship, activating their lightsabers for illumination. As they advanced, Solstus inquired if Buran had encountered similar situations before, to which the Master replied that he had experienced many. The Padawan then asked Buran about his lost apprentice, prompting him to recount the Mission to Gloam. The pair entered the bridge, where Solstus confirmed the equipment still had residual power, potentially enabling them to transmit a distress signal. Before they could proceed, they were overwhelmed by a disorienting effect that clouded their senses. Simultaneously, a Weequay emerged from concealment and attacked Solstus with a metal club.
With his senses impaired, Solstus was unable to defend himself, but Buran intervened, disarming the Weequay. Once the sensation subsided, Solstus extracted wires from a control panel and used them to restrain their prisoner. He and Buran questioned the man about the cause of the effect on the Jedi, but only learned that it was a creature that would bring the Jedi Order to its knees. Solstus resumed examining the control panels, discovering that the Weequay's attack had rendered the comms irreparable. The Padawan considered setting up a continuous distress signal, but it would require time. He pondered the events on Jedha and the reasons behind the Path of the Open Hand's transformation into extremists. Buran inquired if the scanners were functional, and Solstus confirmed that the short-range ones were operational. He activated them and detected the creature on the hull of the ship's rear section. Buran instructed the padawan to monitor the scanner and, as soon as a clear path back to the others presented itself, they would make their escape. When the opportunity arose, the Jedi and their Weequay prisoner sprinted towards the other part of the ship. Before they could advance far, Solstus and Buran were once again affected by the creature's influence. They retreated back to the wreckage as the creature attacked the Weequay. Securely inside the front of the wreckage, Solstus observed Pako shocking the creature by rerouting the ship's power through the hull. As he and Buran ran to the other wreckage, they could feel the effect from the creature returning. Upon reaching their destination, Solstus realized there was no way into the wreckage, and they were trapped by the creature.
The two Jedi managed to evade the creature when Buran used his lightsaber to cut a hole in the side of the hull. Solstus confessed to being afraid and succumbing to his fear. Buran reassured him that he was also afraid, but a Jedi must not dwell on it and must persevere. Subsequently, the pair were discovered by a group of Path of the Open Hand members. The Jedi and Path members agreed to a truce and returned to the cargo bay to reunite with the other survivors. Pako protested the Path's presence, blaming them for the current predicament, but Solstus explained that cooperation was essential for their survival. The Padawan consulted with the Masters regarding the creature's nature and its effects on them. Pako devised a plan to overload the engines, trapping the creature in the wreckage to eliminate it, which Solstus enthusiastically supported. Wole informed the group that power was required to activate the engine, and Solstus revealed that the front part of the ship still had some power. He volunteered to return to the other part of the wreckage, connect the power cables, and start the engines. Badani intended to accompany him, but Buran offered to go instead. The pair made their way back to the hole in the hull and discussed the plan. Solstus would carry a cable connected to the rear part of the ship, while Buran would exit first and attempt to draw the creature away. As the two fled the wreckage, they began to feel the creature's effect. Solstus reached the front end of the wreckage as Buran noticed the creature entering the rear of the ship. Buran commanded Solstus to proceed with his part of the plan as the Master went back to warn the others.
Solstus entered the front part of the wreckage and connected the cable to supply power to the engines. He returned to the other part of the ship to assist with evacuating the remaining survivors. Badani returned after losing her arm in a duel with the creature, and Solstus embraced her warmly. As the herd of creatures closed in, Badani ordered the Padawan to assist Buran in evacuating the survivors and to ensure that Xinith Tarl could report back to the Jedi Council. He escaped the ship and the subsequent explosion but was distraught when Badani was unable to reach safety. Solstus was comforted by Buran.
Later in his life, Solstus would train future Jedi Master Cibaba.
As a Padawan, Coron Solstus was known to wear brown Jedi robes with a light colored undertunic. He also wore gold and blue gauntlets and wielded a blue-bladed lightsaber.
