Ambria

title: Ambria

Located in the galaxy's Inner Rim, Ambria was a planet characterized by its unpleasant desert landscapes and a strong connection to the dark side of the Force. A human female was once observed near a lake on Ambria. Legend has it that Darth Bane, the originator of both the Rule of Two and the Great Plan, met his death at the hands of his Sith apprentice, Darth Zannah, during a duel that took place on Ambria.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Ambria within the current Star Wars canon occurred in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, specifically in the forty-seventh issue of the De Agostini magazine, around November 25 of 2015. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Ambria made its debut appearance in the third issue of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic miniseries, a work penned by Tom Veitch, illustrated by Janine Johnston, and brought to publication by Dark Horse Comics on December 21 of 1993. The planet's visual representation first appeared in the second issue of the Star Wars Helmet Collection magazine series by De Agostini, released in 2016. This issue featured a comic panel from Tales of the Jedi 3, depicting a woman beside a lake, to represent the planet. In the comic, the woman was identified as Nomi Sunrider and the lake as Lake Natth; however, whether this identification holds true within canon remains unconfirmed.
