The Anaxes shipyards, situated on the planet of Anaxes, played a crucial role as shipyards for the Republic throughout the Clone Wars. During the Battle of Anaxes, the Confederacy of Independent Systems attempted to seize control of these facilities. Furthermore, the Separatists had strategically placed a bomb close to the fusion reactor as a contingency, with the potential to obliterate the entire planet upon explosion. Following the transmission of a feedback pulse from ARC Trooper Echo, which disabled all Separatist ground forces on Anaxes, the Harch Admiral Trench initiated the secondary plan, activating the explosive device. Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi then instructed their forces to leave the assembly complex, after which Windu, assisted by Echo and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker (who obtained the necessary deactivation code), located and disarmed the bomb.
