Ardees, alternatively called Jawa Juice, was a drink concocted on Tatooine using mashed bantha hides combined with fermented grains. Not long before the Clone Wars began, Obi-Wan Kenobi visited Dex's Diner on Coruscant, where FLO, the waitress droid, presented him with a serving of ardees. Kenobi then shared this beverage with Dexter Jettster, his longtime acquaintance and the diner's proprietor.
The initial appearance of Ardees was in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. The 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know was the first instance of it being canonically labeled as "Ardees". The beverage received its name from Ardees Rabang Jundis, who worked as an assistant to Rick McCallum.
Although the final version of Attack of the Clones changed the name to Jawa Juice, the original screenplay and earlier edits of the film show FLO offering Obi-Wan Kenobi a cup of Ardees.
