The Aruzans represented a sentient species of near-human beings distinguished by their blue skin. During the Imperial Era, [Manaroo](/article/manaroo], an Aruzan woman originating from the planet Aruza, was romantically involved with Dengar, a human who worked as a bounty hunter.
When Dengar encountered difficulties within the Vergesso Asteroids, Manaroo reached out to a collective of spacers, earnestly requesting their assistance in saving him.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the Aruzan's initial mention occurred in the 2020 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement, Starships and Speeders, produced by Fantasy Flight Games. Nevertheless, the species's genesis lies within Star Wars Legends, where Dave Wolverton conceived them for the 1996 short story titled Payback: The Tale of Dengar, featured in the Tales of the Bounty Hunters collection.
