Ash'ad
The Ash'ad were a Mandalorian group situated on Onderon amidst the new conflict that arose between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire.
History
This organization consisted of disillusioned survivors from Clan Lok, along with other Mandalorians who shared their views. Mirli Lok led the group, and prior to the Raid on Darvannis, they forged an alliance with King Petryph of Onderon. In return for contributing beast trophies to the Royal Hunting Lodge, Petryph granted the Ash'ad freedom to operate as they saw fit while hunting dangerous beasts for honor and prestige. However, the King was unaware that Mirli and her followers held him in low regard.
During the war against Zakuul, the Ash'ad continued to act independently. Following the war, and with the subsequent outbreak of the third Galactic War, their location was discovered by Mandalore the Avenger. To address the dishonor they had brought upon the Clans, Shae tasked the Commander of the Alliance with eliminating the Ash'ad and stripping them of their Beskar'gam in order to erase the stain on Mandalorian honor that they had caused.
Later, the Ash'ad came under the command of Durn Wynnward and became part of the splinter group known as the Hidden Chain. Within this faction, they worked to preserve Mandalorian history and lore. They participated in the attack on the Spirit of Vengeance II, aiming to recover artifacts significant to Mandalorian history.
