Askaji, alternatively referred to as Askaj, existed as a planet situated within the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. This celestial body served as the homeworld for the Askajian species. The indigenous Askajians on Askaji organized themselves into tribal societies, each under the leadership of a chief. By the year 5 ABY, Askaji had become a member of the New Republic, with Senator Grelka Sorka acting as its representative in the Galactic Senate.
