Asuka trees were a species of tree found on the Outer Rim planet Akiva, specifically within its hot and humid jungles. These trees were characterized by their wide, thick leaves and distinctive wrinkled blue flower blooms. In 4 ABY, towards the conclusion of the rebellion on Akiva, [Norra Wexley](/article/norra_wexley], a rebel pilot, and her son, Temmin Wexley, made their way to a landing pad where several asuka trees were situated. The day before their arrival, a storm had scattered the trees' blossoms and foliage across the ground.
The novel Aftermath, released in 2015 and penned by Chuck Wendig as the initial book in the Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy, featured asuka trees. Their initial visual representation occurred in Star Wars Outlaws, a video game created by Massive Entertainment and slated for release in 2024.
