Athul Taran

Athul Taran, a Gormak of the male persuasion, resided on Dalna around 382 BBY. Close to the Ferdan landing areas, he engaged in a dispute with Xander Cran, an individual affiliated with the Path of the Open Hand. Upon the intervention of Jedi Oliviah Zeveron and Matthea Cathley, Taran explained that the Path had been acquiring properties and land within Ferdan, alleging an effort to displace the local Dalnans from their residences. He attributed the riots on Jedha to the Path's actions, referring to Cran with the epithet "brikal-head." Insisting on inspecting the contents of the Path's unloaded crates, and following some encouragement from Cathley, he confirmed that they held Starbeam legumes along with other provisions. Despite Cran's assertion that these supplies were intended to nourish all Dalnans amidst the approaching food scarcity resulting from early rainfall, Taran declared his refusal to consume their "muck" and then departed.
