The Gormak represented a sentient species of reptilian beings within the galaxy. Trilok, a pirate of the Nihil, was a Gormak who was part of Pan Eyta's Tempest during the High Republic Era, known as Tempest Runner.
Within the current Star Wars canon, the initial appearance of the Gormak occurred in the 2021 audio drama titled The High Republic: Tempest Runner, an audio drama authored by Cavan Scott.
Concerning Star Wars Legends, the Gormak were originally conceived for BioWare's massively multiplayer online role-playing video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was released in 2011. The Gormak were created for that game.
