Xander Cran

Xander Cran, a male human, was a member of the cult known as the Path of the Open Hand. In the year 382 BBY, Cran found himself in a dispute with Athul Taran in the city of Ferdan on the planet Dalna; Taran was irritated by the Path's presence in the city and their recent pattern of property acquisitions. The situation escalated when Jedi Knight Oliviah Zeveron and Jedi Padawan Matthea Cathley arrived, attempting to de-escalate the argument. Cran, labeling them as defilers of the Force, brandished a blaster concealed beneath his robes, accusing them of manipulating his mind. Although Zeveron eventually persuaded him to lower the blaster, Cran continued to attribute the rains on Dalna and a perceived 'imbalance' in the Force to two Jedi who he claimed had visited the Path in search of something - Jedi Master Zallah Macri and her Padawan Kevmo Zink, though he did not name them directly. Cran was aware that the Path was secretly responsible for their deaths. This revelation about other Jedi being on Dalna surprised Zeveron and Cathley, prompting them to ask further questions and, at Taran's urging, to inspect the crates Cran was transporting. Cran asserted that the crates contained only grain for food, which appeared to be the case, but some of them were secretly transporting enforcer droids. Subsequently, Zeveron and Cathley concealed themselves within one of the carts to infiltrate the Path compound, using the Force to influence the mind of the cargo handler pushing the cart, making him believe they were not present. During the journey, Cathley was troubled by the guilt she sensed within Cran when he spoke of the Jedi Master and her Padawan.
