During Operation Ringbreaker, which occurred in the year 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry launched an offensive against the Galactic Empire on the planet Nakadia. In the course of this engagement, Twilight Company successfully demolished the planet's plastoid factories, facilities where farm harvests were processed into [armor](/article/armor]-quality polymers and synthetic resins.
Twilight Company had suffered significant losses at Obumubo in 3 ABY, yet they ultimately prevailed. The objective was the annihilation of all plastoid production plants on Nakadia, which were responsible for creating synthetics utilized in armor construction. Hazram Namir was aware that this confrontation would present a formidable challenge.
Namir opted to leave Everi Chalis aboard the Thunderstrike, choosing to accompany the squads during the initial assault. The Company executed numerous nocturnal incursions from within the dense vegetation. While this tactic proved effective, it also pushed the soldiers to their limits, resulting in some injuries being left untreated. Following one particular skirmish, Maediyu, along with several others, returned in a state of exhaustion and with bloodshot eyes. It was soon discovered that they had been exposed to military-grade bioweapons. Namir informed the squad leaders of this development, urging them to exercise caution. Maediyu was among the sixteen soldiers who ultimately died as a consequence of the bioweapon dispersal by airspeeders. Once the source of the bioweapons was pinpointed, a squad consisting of Namir, Gadren, and Mzun mounted an attack, razing the facility to the ground. Subsequently, Twilight destroyed the factories and departed from Nakadia.
Following the battle's conclusion, Namir confronted Chalis regarding the bio weapons, pointing out that they were identical to those they had destroyed at the Distillery during the Coyerti campaign. Chalis countered by stating that their actions had prevented millions from being harmed by the bioweapons. She also added that the Empire had been developing these weapons for decades, and had she known about Nakadia she would not have selected it as a target.
The Nakadia attack was originally featured in Alexander Freed's 2015 novel, Battlefront: Twilight Company.
