The residents of the Barakat outpost, largely composed of the relatives of those who toiled in the quarries, resided in dwellings constructed within the canyon's faces. Marble extraction via mechanized means occurred in the outpost's quarries. The extracted marble had been provided to systems neighboring the Eiram system, however, following the resurgence of the Eiram and E'ronoh War in 387 BBY, off-world agreements became infrequent. Consequently, the marble found utility in repairing the devastation inflicted by the conflict.
