The Eiram and E'ronoh War, alternatively known as the Eiram–E'ronoh war, represented a series of armed conflicts between the planets of Eiram and E'ronoh. Due to the recurring nature of these wars between the two planets, it gained the moniker Forever War. The most recent iteration of this conflict spanned the years 387 BBY to 382 BBY. A notable participant in the war was the Spiral-class Viz-Core Eviscerator starfighter model. The discord between the populations of Eiram and E'ronoh persisted, leading to a state of cold war, until the events following the Eiram–E'ronoh crisis.
Following the death of his son, Niko A'lbaran, during a diplomatic mission to Eiram, the Monarch of E'ronoh intensified the war effort. The Monarch incorrectly believed that the queen of Eiram was responsible for his son's death, despite the fact that he had tragically drowned. Furthermore, the E'roni people believed that Eiram had seized their colony located on the Timekeeper Moon, which further exacerbated the already strained relations between the planets. The Battle of Salamento Bridge was one of the engagements fought during this period.
Given that crucial trade routes traversed the Eiram system, numerous worlds reliant on imported food began to experience famine. This was a direct consequence of the war rendering trade routes within the Koradin sector, including the Lipsec Run, impassable. Sump and Shuraden were among the planets that appealed to the Republic for assistance due to this very reason. The Republic undertook extensive efforts to remap and clear the hyperlanes of pirates who sought to profit from the conflict, aiming to reestablish a vital supply line for the afflicted systems. The Hutt Clan derived significant financial benefits from the war.
Additionally, the war prompted one of E'ronoh's few allies, Merokia, to sever ties with E'ronoh and renege on their promise of aid. This also resulted in a substantial decrease in E'ronoh's off-planet marble contracts. The Path of the Open Hand established a presence on E'ronoh, attracting new adherents from young citizens seeking to avoid conscription.
Although the fighting never directly reached Eiram's capital, attacks on surrounding towns caused significant damage to the infrastructure of Erasmus. The population of Eiram suffered greatly from the war's repercussions, as food and water became scarce commodities. Moreover, the environment sustained considerable damage during the conflict. Oil and fuel spills from downed ships frequently contaminated Eiram's beaches, while explosions caused widespread fires in the surrounding vegetation, and dwellings fell into disrepair.
Driven by desperation, Eiram's queen Adrialla entered into an agreement with The Mother in exchange for food, fuel, and medical supplies. However, when she failed to fulfill her obligations, The Mother dispatched one of her Children to compel her to honor her promise.
Five years after the war's resurgence, a renewed attempt was made to establish a ceasefire. However, The Mother tasked one of her Children, Serrena, with sabotaging a Thylefire Squadron starfighter intended to be piloted by Xiri A'lbaran, hoping to undermine the ceasefire and prolong the conflict between the planets. Despite the success of the sabotage operation, which triggered a skirmish between Eirami and E'roni forces, the ceasefire ultimately held. Path member Shea Ganandra suspected the Hutts were involved in facilitating the peace talks, believing they sought to exploit the post-war rebuilding efforts, as they had profited from the war itself.
The Path's interference with the effort to sign the treaty on the neutral moon of Jedha led to a resurgence of active warfare with the Battle of Jedha. Upon discovering the Path of the Open Hand's role in orchestrating the war, with the intention of creating chaos in which they could thrive, the peoples of Eiram and E'ronoh united against their common enemy and fought together in the Battle of Dalna.
