Around 382 BBY, a brief conflict unfolded within the Eiram system. This clash involved the armed forces of the planets Eiram and E'ronoh, who were at war, alongside Jedi Order members accompanying a Galactic Republic aid convoy destined for Eiram. The catalyst for this event was an act of sabotage perpetrated by the Path of the Open Hand cult. They targeted a starfighter under the assumption that E'ronoh's princess, Xiri A'lbaran, would be piloting it on a standard assignment to protect an ice hauler scheduled to supply E'ronoh. However, A'lbaran had reassigned the Corellian devilfighter to Bly Tevin, a recent addition to E'ronoh's fleet, resulting in Tevin's death when he tried to prevent the sabotaged craft from launching an assault. Jedi Knight Gella Nattai, arriving on the Alif-class Longbeam as one of several Jedi tasked with delivering requested provisions to Eiram, joined the fray piloting her Alpha-class starfighter.
