Baskol Yeesrim was a Gran hailing from the planet of Malastare, serving as the representative for the Gran Protectorate within the Galactic Senate of the Republic. He was a member of the same Malastare delegation as Senator Aks Moe, who spoke for the Congress of Malastare. Yeesrim and Moe, along with another Gran, were sharing a repulsorpod inside the Senate Building on the planet Coruscant when Queen Padmé Amidala of Naboo addressed the Senate, seeking assistance to end the Trade Federation's occupation of her homeworld.
When Senator Lott Dod of the Trade Federation requested evidence to support the claims, Yeesrim concurred with Dod's suggestion to establish a committee for investigation. Following Moe's endorsement of the committee, Amidala proposed a Vote of No Confidence targeting Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum. Yeesrim possessed pink skin and black eyes. While present in the Senate Building, the senator was attired in red and brown robes.
The character Baskol Yeesrim made an appearance in the 1999 film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, part of the prequel trilogy. His identification occurred first within the new Star Wars canon through the 2017 reference work, Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z. The name initially appeared in the Star Wars Legends reference book Star Wars: Episode I The Visual Dictionary released in 1999, although it erroneously connected the name with an image of Aks Moe. Subsequently, the name was properly associated with a different Gran on a card from the "Coruscant Limited" set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game by Decipher in 2001.
