A conflict occurred at Fondor around the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War, specifically in 28 ABY. During this engagement, the Galactic Alliance successfully reclaimed the strategically important Fondor Shipyards, which had been seized by the Yuuzhan Vong. Simultaneously, the Alliance orchestrated a decoy attack on Duro to divert Yuuzhan Vong reinforcements away from Fondor. The commanding officer at Duro requested reinforcements from Zhat Lah, the commander stationed at Fondor, who granted the request, thereby weakening his own defenses. Upon realizing the deception, Lah attempted to recall his fleet from Duro; however, the Alliance's interdictors prevented him from doing so. As the situation deteriorated beyond recovery, Lah ordered the remaining forces, consisting of two ro'ik chuun m'arh and a miid ro'ik, to return.
Despite achieving its goals, with the Alliance successfully capturing Fondor, the operation faced significant opposition from Duros military personnel and the civilian population in the aftermath.
