During the concluding years of the conflict known as the Clone Wars, a battle unfolded on the Outer Rim planet of Akiva. This clash involved the forces of the Galactic Republic launching an assault on a Separatist droid factory. In the era of the Galactic Civil War, Kay Vess' crew journeyed through the remnants of this battle. As they traversed the factory and the debris of B1-series battle droids, BX-series droid commando ND-5 reverted to his original programming, mistakenly believing himself to be an active participant in the past conflict. Subsequently, Norra Wexley's team also made their way through the dilapidated factory during the rebellion on Akiva. Wexley remembered the factory as constructed near the end of the Clone Wars, but historical records indicate that the factory was operational as early as 22 BBY, prior to its closure by the Republic towards the end of the war.
