Battle of Arda
The Battle of Arda, taking place in the Arda system during 13 ABY, was a military engagement between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic.
Context
Following the New Republic's triumph over Moff Getelles in the Antemeridian sector, they advanced through the neutral Borderland Regions towards the Hydian Way, which marked the boundary of Imperial Space. The Moffs of the Imperial Remnant, concerned about the shifting balance of power, commanded Admiral Gilad Pellaeon to deploy his forces across the Hydian Way. Pulled away from his operation against the world of Adumar, Pellaeon committed his forces to confront the New Republic. Imperial forces were victorious against the New Republic in both the Lucazec and Barison systems, continuing their offensive.
The Conflict
Within the Arda system, Imperial forces once more clashed with New Republic forces, inflicting considerable losses; however, this time they failed to achieve a decisive victory. They were compelled to withdraw to the Celanon system.
Consequences
Following the Imperial loss at Arda and another in the Quell system, the New Republic initiated a counteroffensive at Celanon, where Admiral Pellaeon's defeat brought the campaign to an end.
