Battle of Druckenwell

The clash known as the Battle of Druckenwell unfolded during the Great Galactic War, pitting the forces of the Republic against the newly empowered Sith Empire. This engagement, fought in 3653 BBY as the war neared its end, involved intense fighting between the Republic and Imperial naval forces. A Human individual, who would later become known as the Eagle, participated as an Imperial starfighter pilot. Furthermore, at least one Imperial transport was destroyed in the conflict. Moff Broysc, the Imperial commander, almost lost the battle due to a significant error in judgment; however, his subordinate, Malavai Quinn, defied Broysc's command and, acting alone, turned the tide in favor of the Empire, leading to a Republic loss.

Despite Quinn's crucial role in securing victory, Broysc was angered by his act of defiance. Quinn had been pursuing Voloren, an operative of the Republic Strategic Information Service, and had him trapped when Broysc ordered Quinn back to the battle. While Broysc took credit for Quinn's actions in saving the fleet, he decided to subject his subordinate to a court-martial. Luckily for Quinn, the Sith Lord Darth Baras reassigned Quinn to Balmorra, leaving Broysc frustrated and determined to obstruct any advancements or transfers Quinn might receive during his time on the planet.
